Go counterpoint! My first shot at writing an invention in the style of 18-century counterpoint. There are so many rules and I know I'm breaking TONS of them. But its an old old style and I'm still learning!
Wanna make someone cry? Its too easy. All you need is a bell-tone drone, solitary minimalist piano, some wet strings, and a french horn. Then add a synth bass drop for heartbreak, a waterphone for heartache, and voila!
John Williams' score for the film Jaws is unforgettable. This is a cue I wrote, re-scoring one of the scenes to see how much it changed the mood of the movie. I tried to capture the awe that such a giant shark as the one depicted in the film would inspire.
